In 2000, I successfully completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation (CIMA®) through the Investments & Wealth Institute program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. I’ve been a member of the Private Investment Management (PIM) Council, which supports PIM managers across the country since January 2016 and served as chairman from January 2022 to December 2023.
If you could time travel, where and when would you visit?
I would love to see dinosaurs in person (and live to tell about it). I’d also really like to see what the planet evolves into over the next 100 or 200 years.
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and nearly all of my relatives still live in Wisconsin. My parents moved our family to Oregon when I was five years old. Today I live in Portland.
What was the most recent movie you really enjoyed?
I really loved all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies. They had it all – creative and developed characters, a great plot, suspense, humor and an amazing sound track!
What do you do in your free time?
My wife Wendy & I love the outdoors – paddle boarding, downhill skiing, hiking or just walking in our neighborhood. We feel very fortunate to live within ninety minutes of the Pacific Ocean, Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge – it’s paradise!
